I cannot believe it! I heard my friends talking about something unbelievable: can an NFL team call back to backs timeouts? Well, I am here to tell you they absolutely can. I knew I’d heard something about this before, but I was astounded that it could actually be true.

It can also be used to try and break a scoring streak on the other team, as well as giving the team extra rest time in the heat of the moment.
I must admit, I’m still finding the concept a bit hard to wrap my head around, but the more I think about it, the more I can see the benefits of calling back to back timeouts. I’m not sure how often teams use this tactic, but it certainly seems like a viable option to take during games. I guess it’s just a matter of understanding the rules and regulations of the NFL.
