nfl covers

I’m an avid fan of the NFL, and one of the best aspects of watching the games is checking out the covers. It’s a great way to show your support for your favorite team or favorite players. It adds a level of personalization to the game that I love.

When I was younger, NFL covers were pretty basic. They were mainly pieces of fabric that had a team logo on them. They didn’t have any features or designs that celebrated the team’s history or accomplishments. But today, they’re totally different. They come in so many designs that there’s something out there for everyone.

One of my favorite NFL covers is the one that has a picture of a star player from the team. It’s great because it celebrates the individual players as well as the team as a whole. As a fan of that player, I get to show my support for them, and I love being able to have something unique to show off.

Another great feature of NFL covers is the fabric they’re made from. A lot of the better ones are made from breathable material, so it doesn’t get too hot or cold while you’re watching the game. They’re also really comfortable, and I love that I don’t have to worry about my seat getting too uncomfortable while I’m cheering on my team.

I also love the vibrant colors that NFL covers come in. It’s great when I can pick one out that has my team’s colors, and they usually don’t look too garish or out of place. It’s also great that I can find one with a unique design. It really helps stand out from the crowd, and makes the game day experience even better.

The possibilities are endless with the NFL covers out there. You can go with something really classic and timeless or something more modern that’s got some unique features. There’s definitely something out there for every fan.

Even though I love watching football, the covers make it even better. It’s great to be able to add my own personal touch to the game day experience. They really add that extra layer of fun that I can’t wait to show off to my friends and family as we watch the game.

can i tryout for multiple nfl cheer teams

I recently thought to myself “Can I tryout for multiple NFL cheer teams?”. My friends had been talking about it for weeks, and I was finally brave enough to take the plunge and give it a shot. When I told my friends about it, they were all incredibly excited and encouraging.

The first step in my journey was researching the different teams. I read up on different styles of cheerleading, went to some local events to meet the teams, and looked for any opportunities to try out. I was overwhelmed at the sheer number of teams I could potentially join – they all had different looks and personalities that would make this a really exciting journey.

The next step was finding out about the individual team’s tryouts. I scoured the internet and reached out to friends to gather all the information I needed. As I learned more and more, I was filled with a sense of excitement. I knew that if I worked hard and had the right attitude, I could make this dream come true.

The day of my tryouts ended up being incredibly intense. There were some nerves, but I was determined to perform my best. I did everything from dancing, to stunts, to basic cheer leading moves over the course of two days. Despite the hard work, it was fun and I learned a lot.

Afterwards, I had to wait and pray for results. I was so nervous when I finally received the notification that I was chosen for two teams. I immediately felt elated, and I truly felt like I attained a great accomplishment. At this point I realized that if I stumbled upon an opportunity that interested me, then I should go for it.

I was excited to join the team and started to learn the routines. It was a great challenge to keep up with all the different training, but I was up to the task. The team was so helpful and passionate about cheerleading – they encouraged me to take all the chances I could.

The team spirit was so infectious that I even got my friends involved too. We would try out different routines in our own space, cheering each other on and constantly pushing each other to get better. It was really special for us to cheer for the same team, because we had gone through the whole process together.

I have now completed my first season with two teams – and I’m so proud of what I accomplished. I never thought I would get this amazing opportunity and I would definitely recommend it to others. I have become the best cheerleader that I could ever be – something I never thought I was capable of.

are cfl players as good as nfl players

When it comes to professional football, most will agree that the National Football League (NFL) is the most respected and revered league. But, what about players in the Canadian Football League (CFL)? Are CFL players just as good as NFL players?

Well, I think there’s no definitive answer to this question without taking into consideration various factors. For starters, a CFL team consists of twenty players while an NFL team has twenty-three players, this means that the competition is already a little more intense in the NFL. Also, with an NFL team the coaching is usually more familiar with the game and the players have to work harder to make the team.

For a lot of players, the CFL may be the only option for entering professional football. Major League Soccer (MLS) and Major League Baseball (MLB) may be other options, but the CFL is the main option for those seeking a professional career in football. It’s no surprise that many good players opt for the CFL, and some of them even move on to the NFL once their skills have been noticed.

The truth is, NFL players benefit from better resources, coaching, and support that allow them to be more successful than CFL players. A few of those resources include: a bigger roster size, more experienced coaching, better access to nutritional and medical support, and a chance to play in major stadiums. All of these things give a slight advantage to NFL players.

Still, that doesn’t mean that the CFL doesn’t still have great players. In fact, there are some stellar players who could easily give any NFL player a run for their money. Some of the CFL’s best plays have actually gone on to play in the NFL and display their skills on the field. CFL players, in some cases, have just as much talent if not more than their NFL counterparts.

The CFL and NFL may be different leagues, but there’s no denying that both have great players. It really depends on which league an individual chooses, as both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Do you think players in the CFL are just as good as those in the NFL?

The bottom line is that all professional athletes – whether they play in the CFL or the NFL – have to work hard to achieve success. They may be competing in separate leagues, but both have their own set of high standards and expectations that need to be met. In the end, it’s up to each individual player to prove that they are just as good, or even better, than those playing in the other league.

But to answer the original question, I think that players in the CFL are just as capable as NFL players. Whether or not they can excel enough to play in the NFL is a completely different matter, but ultimately these players are all part of the same football culture.

CFL players may not get the same level of recognition that NFL players do, but they are still able to have a positive impact on the sport. You could even say that, without the CFL, a lot of the current standouts in the NFL wouldn’t even have the chance to do what they do.

While the CFL may not be the highest level of competition in the world, it definitely gives many tremendous athletes and dedicated football lovers the chance to shine. Do you think the level of play in the CFL is comparable to that of the NFL?

who can throw the farthest in the nfl

It’s no surprise that the NFL is full of talented, powerful athletes and if you ask any football fan who can chuck the ball the farthest, they’d likely just smile and share some of their favorite plays. But who can really throw the ball farthest in the NFL? Well, after doing some research, here’s what I’ve found.

It’s no surprise that there is plenty of arm talent in the NFL, but who can really throw the ball farthest downfield? The obvious answers that come to mind include Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, and perhaps even Russell Wilson. But who can really sling it the farthest? Well, I recently heard a debate about this topic in the NFL and figured I’d give it a look.

After some research, I discovered that Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans holds the record for the longest completed pass of 84 yards. But, that’s not the farthest any quarterback has thrown the ball – the stars of deep throws belong to Mahomes, Rodgers, and Wilson.

Patrick Mahomes has the record for the farthest throw in a single season and also holds the record for the most passes of at least 50 yards in a single season. He’s also thrown the second-longest throw ever, a 79-yard bomb to Mecole Hardman.

Aaron Rodgers is known for having some of the strongest, most accurate throws and he reigned over the league in Deep Balls in 2018 and is a compulsively accurate thrower when he heaves the ball beyond 20 yards.

Russell Wilson has also been known to fling the ball quite far and despite his smaller stature, he has an impressive arm strength.

So, it looks like these three quarterbacks can really throw the ball farthest in the NFL. But, Deshaun Watson has the record for the longest pass ever, so it looks like any one of these quarterbacks could top that record given the right circumstances.

Having said that, the guys mentioned aren’t the only ones that can give the ball a good heave. Other quarterbacks such as Derek Carr, Philip Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger, and the ever elusive Lamar Jackson have all made impressive long passes.

But, what sets the stars apart is their ability to make consistent long passes and turn them into plays with touchdowns, first downs, and exciting highlights.

For example, Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers have a longstanding rivalry when it comes to long-ball passes with Mahomes finalizing the season with a very impressive 79-yard pass and Rodgers finishing the season with an impressive 65-yard pass to his trusty left tackle David Bakhtiari.

In the end, it’s clear that the great quarterbacks of the NFL can all make some impressive throws, but the stars of long-ball passes belong to Mahomes, Rodgers, and Wilson.

Then there is the question of who can throw a spiral. Some quarterbacks have a natural touch on the ball to get it to spiraling and fly with just the right touch. Patrick Mahomes is known for having a great spiral, with his passes rarely being challenged in the air. Aaron Rodgers is also known for having an accurate spiral throw, which he used to complete a game-winning pass on the final drive of the 2018 season. I believe Russell Wilson, can also throw a crisp spiral, too.

Another factor that suggests who can throw the ball farthest in the NFL is arm strength. Patrick Mahomes is regularly said to have one of the most powerful arms in the league with a natural ability to make big plays when needed. Aaron Rodgers has also proved that he has a very strong arm over the years while throwing Xbox-like passes across the middle.

Speaking about strength, Russell Wilson is a pretty big player for a quarterback and has been able to make impressive throws across a large field. This is no surprise considering he was a starting pitcher in baseball back in high school.

When it comes to who can really throw the ball farthest in the NFL, this seems to be a question that will always remain a mystery as there will always be – for lack of a better phrase – a ‘great debate’ over who can throw the football the farthest. For years, this distinction belonged to the late Dan Marino, who could throw the ball 70 yards in his younger days.

However, looking ahead, all the quarterbacks mentioned – along with several others like Tom Brady, Matt Ryan, and Sam Darnold – have the potential to throw the ball the farthest and complete long passes down the field each play.

Ultimately, it’s up to the coach and quarterback to decide who can really throw the ball farthest in the NFL. Ultimately, it’s about working together with the receivers and having the right strategy to make the tough passes.

Of course, if anyone is up for the challenge, it would be the quarterbacks mentioned earlier. It could be as simple as picking the right moments when the defense’s coverage is weak and completing that bomb to set up a touchdown.

That being said, the long pass game in the NFL is a skill that usually requires years of practice, and I doubt that even one of these quarterbacks can replicate the skill of the great Dan Marino. But, that doesn’t mean they won’t come close! They’ll keep aiming high and continue pushing the envelope as to who can throw the farthest in the NFL.

Now let’s take a look at what other players can do when it comes to throwing the football. There are those who may not be considered part of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks, but they still have great arm strength. For example, Ryan Tannehill and Mitchell Trubisky have shown that they can make big throws in the NFL.

These players have the potential to reach the stars with their throws, but it’s not easy. They have to be precise and accurate, and they have to make use of their target’s skillset. With that, Tannehill was given the nickname ‘Mr. Perfect’ since most of his long-balls have been completed even in tight windows.

On the other side of the field, guys like Josh Allen and Joe Burrow are rookies who have shown some impressive skills so far. They can throw the ball far and accurately, with their passes usually having great trajectory and accuracy.

But, it’s not only the quarterbacks who can throw far and accurately. Wide receivers also have the ability to chuck the ball far. They use the technique of sidearm throwing when they try to squeeze the ball between two defenders. Guys like Allen Robinson, Odell Beckham Jr, and Sammy Watkins are not afraid to heave the ball to their receivers.

Overall, deep throws have become a norm in the NFL and there are plenty of players who can make them. Of course, some players stand out more than others, but that doesn’t take away from those who can make the big plays. It’s an exciting event every time someone makes a long throw, and it’s sure to be even more exciting when one of the stars mentioned above can show how they can make an astonishingly far throw in the NFL.

michael robinson nfl

I am a big football fan and one of my all time favorite players was Michael Robinson. He was actually an underrated player in the NFL, but he still managed to leave his mark during his time in the league.

I remember watching Michael Robinson’s first game when the Seahawks drafted him in 2006. He was the backup quarterback behind Matt Hasselbeck. I was immediately impressed with Robinson’s speed and agility. He rushed for almost 50 yards in that game alone.

When Robinson moved up to the starting role as a running back in 2007, I knew he was destined for greatness. He was a Swiss Army knife on the field, lining up at quarterback, receiver, and returner. He was explosive in the open field, and had an incredible ability to read defenses and make the correct play.

Robinson was a true leader for the Seahawks. He was known for his “watch the film” attitude. He would stay up late watching film and studying the opponents. He was incredibly passionate about the game, and was more than willing to help out his teammates with studying and preparation.

At the same time, Robinson was a great locker room presence. He always brought levity and joy to the team. No matter the situation, he always had a joke ready and was willing to make light of any bad situation. His presence was such that the entire team was uplifted when he entered a room.

By my estimate, Michael Robinson was one of the most underrated players in NFL history. He was incredibly versatile and always managed to make plays even when it seemed impossible. There was nothing he could not do on the field and that versatility was invaluable. He was an amazing player, a great leader in the locker room, and an MVP of the team without ever receiving the title.

Beyond the field, Robinson was an incredible role model. He was very active in his community and always seemed to put his team first. I’ve heard multiple stories about how he would go the extra mile to help out anyone who asked. He was truly an incredible person and we were lucky to have had him as a part of the NFL.

One of my fondest memories of Michael Robinson was during the 2006 season. The Seahawks had just lost a regular season game to the San Francisco 49ers and Robinson was absolutely determined to make sure they got the playoffs. He led by example in almost every practice and Friday night meeting. The entire team was uplifted by his presence, and his dedication to the team was unparalleled.

For me, personally, Michael Robinson was a hero. He was a leader on and off the field, and his insight and knowledge of the game was amazing. He was a true inspiration, and I am grateful for the time I got to watch him play. He will forever be remembered as one of the greatest of all time.

Michael Robinson was a true champion and leader in the NFL. He was never one to back down from a challenge and his work ethic and passion inspired the entire team. He was an incredible team player and his commitment to the team set him apart from everyone else. Robinson was always a leader both on and off the field and I am grateful for the time I was able to watch him play.

is sterling sharpe in the nfl hall of fame

You know that Sterling Sharpe is one of the best wide receivers to ever play in the NFL, don’t you? Well, he played for eight seasons in the NFL, but due to a neck injury, he was forced to retire prematurely. Now, for the last fifteen years, there has been debate whether or not he is a Hall of Famer. In my opinion, he absolutely deserves to be enshrined in Canton.

I mean, just take a look at his stats during his eight year career. He had 794 receptions, 8,134 yards, and 65 touchdowns. He was also an All-Pro five times, and led the league in receptions twice. What’s more, he played for the Green Bay Packers and helped them to win the Super Bowl. He simply dominated the game when he was on the field.

On top of his impressive stats, Sharpe brought an incredible attitude to football. He was absolutely fearless, and game in and game out, he displayed a level of play that demanded the respect and admiration of his peers and fans alike. He was also known for being an incredible leader, always encouraging his teammates to give their best and to have some fun while doing it.

Unfortunately, just as things were beginning to really take off for Sharpe, he suffered a neck injury that was so severe that it had to be corrected surgically. He ended his career, but left a lasting legacy. His inspirational attitude and incredible stats are a testament to what he achieved both on and off the field.

In my opinion, Sterling Sharpe should absolutely be in the Hall of Fame. He changed the game for receivers and his courage, poise, and tenacity is something to be admired. Here’s hoping that one day he can finally take his rightful place in Canton, and that other deserving players will follow in his footsteps.

It seems like every year, the debate on whether or not Sterling Sharpe should be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame continues. It’s a shame that his career ended so prematurely. But even with the limited time he had, he managed to leave a very impressive and lasting legacy that will never be forgotten.

In my opinion, there has to be something behind 8,134 yards, 794 receptions, and 65 touchdowns. To me, that speaks for itself. His stats and impressive attitude set him apart as one of the best wide receivers to ever play the game. Plus, he helped the Packers win a Super Bowl. With these credentials, I think the decision of whether or not to induct him into the hall of fame should be a no-brainer.

I understand why some people think his Hall of Fame candidacy is still up in the air. Nevertheless, I think that the immense respect Sharpe garnered in the game and the impressive stats he achieved while he was there show that he absolutely deserves to be enshrined in the Canton. I mean, come on – it’s Sterling Sharpe we’re talking about here! He was an absolute force to be reckoned with on the field and a leader off of it.

I understand that induction into the hall of fame is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a football player. So, in light of that, I believe that Sterling Sharpe should be inducted posthumously. He achieved so much in the short time he was in the league, and I truly believe he has earned the recognition and respect of making it into the Hall of Fame.

I’m sure that his family would be immensely proud and feel that all his hard work and effort have gone noticed and recognized. His Hall of Fame induction would be that one last feather in the cap to show the world how great a player he was and how much impact he left on the game of football. That’s why I hope that one day soon, Sterling Sharpe is finally inducted into the Hall of Fame.

One thing is for sure – he certainly earned his spot. Although, the whole process can be rather complex and has almost nothing to do with the player’s achievements. It’s more so about votes, whose opinion carries more weight, and what else is going on in football at the moment. Which is why it can take years and years before a player is finally inducted.

Personally, I think that Sterling Sharpe is a no-brainer. He is a Hall of Fame worthy player and should be presented with that distinction. As it is, he still commands a lot of respect and is known throughout the NFL as one of the best wide receivers to ever grace the game. His name is still brought up with great admiration and awe, and hopefully one day he will receive his due in the form of a Hall of Fame induction.

It’s no secret that Sterling Sharpe was one of the best wide receivers in his era. He achieved amazing feats in the short time he was active in the NFL, and even now his name is still being talked about with so much reverence. That’s why I think that his name alone should be enough to get him the nod to be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame.

Sharpe had the skill, the determination and the grit to be great in this game, and nothing should stop him from obtaining the highest honor a player can get. Sure, he retired early due to a neck injury, but his contributions to the game are still felt every time his stats and accolades are brought up. That’s why I stand firmly behind the idea that he should be enshrined in the Hall of Fame.

It’s not every day that a football player reaches the level of excellence that Sharpe achieved. He was such a great leader that even though he retired in 1994, there are those who have been campaigning ever since then to get him inducted into the Hall of Fame. To me, that shows just how much the football community respected him and appreciated all that he has given to the game.

I do believe it’s time that Sterling Sharpe is given his proper due. It’s way past time that he is inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. There’s no denying that he was one of the best players in the league, and his name should be immortalized in Canton. It’s only right that an amazing player like him should get his recognition, don’t you agree?

whos playing this weekend nfl

It’s almost weekend and you know what that means – football! I’m stoked because I’m rooting for my team this Sunday. I’m getting a tingly feeling just thinking about it. Who’s playing? The NFL’s got some major matchups this weekend. Before I get into who’s playing, let me break down a few things:

First of all, Sunday is the day of the week when most of the NFL games are held. There is some overlap on Mondays and Thursdays, but mostly on Sundays. Second, each of the 32 NFL teams has to play at least 16 games each season – so there’s always something exciting happening throughout the football season.

Alright, let’s get into who’s playing this weekend. The Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, New York Giants, Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, and the Philadelphia Eagles are the teams that we have our eyes on. It’s gonna be a good one!

Plus, as an extra treat, the NFL is also hosting some exciting outdoor games this weekend – the “Winter Fan Series” – in some really great cities across the nation. The San Francisco 49ers will be playing in Denver, the Arizona Cardinals in Kansas City, and the Dallas Cowboys in Pittsburgh. That should make for a really special atmosphere!

That’s all I can tell you for now, but get ready – it’s gonna be a wild one! Each of these teams have amazing players, and their competition is as intense as ever. From the young up-and-comers to the experienced veterans, these teams are ready to put on a show.

Then, there’s the drafts and trades. Each team has worked hard to put together a winning strategy and through the draft and trades, they’re looking to get that edge that makes them competitive. Each team wants to come out on top, but only a few will be in the Super Bowl, so it’s gonna be a wild ride all the way to the end.

I’m so looking forward to watching what happens this weekend and seeing some of the best plays in the history of the NFL. There’s no doubt some surprises in store and I can’t wait to see whose hard work pays off.

Now, let’s talk about some of the biggest names in the game this weekend. On the Denver Broncos side, there’s the perennial Pro Bowler Von Miller and offensive leader Emmanuel Sanders. On the Kansas City Chiefs side, there’s the Super Bowl 50 MVP, Von Miller, and the quarterback sensation Patrick Mahomes II. The Patriots are being led by their young star quarterback, Tom Brady, and the Eagles are being anchored by their veteran leader and MVP candidate Carson Wentz. Of course, with the New York Giants, we are watching out for the sensational rookie running back Saquon Barkley.

So there you have it, seven teams and some of the biggest names in the sport ready to kick off their weekend battles in the NFL. I can hardly wait! Who do you think will have the best showing this weekend?

does cox cable have the nfl channel

It was like any other Monday night, watching the latest football game on Television.I was excited, although I’ve heard rumors that cox cable doesn’t even carry the NFL channel.I found myself wondering: Does Cox Cable have the NFL Channel?

I read up on it – and while that answer wasn’t totally obvious, I was happy to learn that yes, Cox cable does offer the NFL Channel. What a relief!

Some of the customers I spoke to said that they hadn’t really looked into it and weren’t sure what the answer was. If you’re still wondering, now you know. No more guessing game!

I’m not really a fan of the football season and don’t follow it closely. But I do have to say that I heard a lot of people saying that Cox was the cable company that had the NFL channel.

I don’t know why, maybe it’s because the commercials have been heavy airplay this past few weeks. But yes, Cox does have the NFL channel so you’re not missing out on your favorite sporting event.

It felt like a huge sigh of relief when I learned that Cox carries the NFL channel. I had already been through the entire list of cable and satellite companies and none of them had it. To look for it on Cox and have success! That was something else.

My friend asked me about this the other day, and I had to tell them that I still wasn’t sure. After my discovery, I knew I had to tell him – because it would save him a lot of time searching and wondering around for that specific channel (it wasn’t on any other provider).

So to go back to the original question: Is Cox cable offering the NFL channel? Yes, they are! Even if you’re not the sports person, you’ll have access to the channel when needed.

Now, I’m sure some of you are wondering how much it would cost to get the NFL channel with Cox. And I’m here to tell you, it’s really very affordable. The NFL is almost a necessity in some households, and you won’t be spending an outrageous monthly bill for it.

For best picture quality, I recommend you subscribe to the sports entertainment package included in the Cox cable plan. You’ll get not only the NFL but also some of the other big players in the sports world. And with the HD feature, you can get *literally* take your viewing experience to the next level.

What’s more? The excellent 24/7 customer service with Cox will help you if you ever encounter any technical issues – which is said to be a really smooth sail when it comes to maintaining your services.

So there you go, I’m glad to report that Cox cable does offer the NFL channel. I’m sure I’m not the only one relieved about this, as it’s now a lot easier to enjoy our favorite Monday night football game without a hiccup. Now how about some pizza and wings?

is nfl on christmas day

Well, it’s almost Christmas and you know what that means, NFL – on Christmas day?!I guess some people will be actually doing sports on this special day, but not me – I’m just wondering if there’s anything that puts football on Christmas Day?

As much as I love the NFL, I think Christmas should be a day for family, faith, tradition, and peace. Football is a tough and tiring sport, and I’m not sure how all of those natural feelings can coexist with playing a football game on a day designed for something more serene.

But I also know that I’m not the only fan of the sport who feels that way. Although a good number of people still support the idea of having an NFL game on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, I personally think it’s disrespectful to the holiday. I mean, football represents grit and hard work, right? So why should it be treated any differently than mom-made dinner or special presents?

And then, of course, there’s the negative impact on the players. I’m sure they would love to spend Christmas Day with their families, rather than sacrificing them to do another practice or game.

I can understand why some people might disagree with me and think that choosing to have an NFL game on the most magical day of the year would be harmless. After all, many sports stars play and entertainment on Christmas Day. But we have to consider that the NFL season is a long one, and if we force the players to play on such a special day, it’s disrespecting the holiday, its players, and the traditional values associated with it.

On the other hand, a lot of people argue that having an NFL game on Christmas day would attract more viewers and fans and generate more money for the teams. They say it would be a win-win situation, but I don’t think those viewers would unfortunately understand the real meaning of the sacred holiday.

Now, I’m likely never going to touch a ball on Christmas Day or while its snowing, but even with all the nostalgia of the Super Bowl an NFL game on Christmas Day just doesn’t seem right to me. What about you? Do you think there’s anything that puts football on Christmas Day?

Well, even if I don’t agree with it, the NFL will sometimes host a football game on Christmas Day, to spice up the holiday season. This could be due to the ever-increasing viewership numbers, advertisers trying to capture a broader audience, and of course the thrill in seeing the two teams battle it out surrounded by holiday decorations. But as much as those visuals might be attractive, I’m sure most of the players in NFL will be hoping for an off-day on Christmas!

On the other hand, some people won’t mind the fact that the game is played on Christmas Day, as long as it adds to the excitement of the holiday. And I suppose that in terms of added entertainment, an NFL game can’t be beaten; there’s something special about gathering around the television with your family and friends, eating your winter snacks, and tuned in to the game.

There are people who believe that sports and holidays exist harmoniously and that Americans have the right to embrace both activities at the same time. After all, they argue, professional sports and religious holidays have coexisted for centuries, and should continue to do so in the future.

I can also understand why beyond the matters of tradition, an NFL game on Christmas Day could be appealing to some viewers. Perhaps the game itself brings a sense of excitement, or offers a distraction from the holiday worry of travel and shopping.

Moreover, I’m sure some avid fans will love nothing more than to get the day off from work and school so they can watch their favorite teams fight for that all-important win on the biggest day of the year. And who can blame them – after all, who wouldn’t want to experience that glorious moment when the surprise of Christmas is replaced with the thrill of football?

Finally, some people believe that having an NFL game on Christmas Day is in keeping with the historical value of the holiday – the early Christians considered it to be a time of peace and harmony, and having a football game allows everyone to enjoy the holiday in their own way.

When all is said and done, I’m sure that the final verdict on this issue lies with the NFL. I’m sure they understand that it takes a special day, like Christmas, to bring the entire country together and allow us all to celebrate the holiday season in different ways. Whether that includes playing football or not, only time will tell.
